The Rock Allegiance festival will take place on Saturday September 17th and Sunday September 18th at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, PA with 2 jam packed days of the loudest music on the planet. This will be a preview of Saturday September 17th's lineup and some of the activities that can be done throughout the festival.
September 17th Music Lineup and Band Description:
Dinosaur Pile Up: Hailing from Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, this threesome of guitarist and vocalist Matt Bigland, drummer Mike Sheils, and bassist Jim Cratchley just powered their way onto rock radio with the album titled single "Eleven Eleven" that has been heard on 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia and is climbing up the Mediabase Active Rock Charts.
The Word Alive: This metalcore outfit from Phoenix, Arizona got a quick start as their first album Empire charted in The Heatseakers chart in 2009 and their follow up album Deciever reached number 97 on the Billboard 200. They would release their album Dark Matter on March 16th of this year which featured the lead single of Trapped.
Young Guns: Young Guns is a rock band from Buckinghamshire, England has success right off the bat as their lead single "Bones" off of their second album of the same name reached Number 1 on the Billboard Active Rock Charts. Their upcoming fourth album titled Echoes will come out September 16th.
Skindred: Skindred is an eclectic band that mixes alternative rock, metal, and reggae. They will deliver an energetic live performance as they have won Best Live Band at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.
Apocalypse Blues Revue: Founded by Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin and guitarist Tony Rombola, Apocalypse Blues Revue combines aspects of blues, hard rock and punk.
Letlive: A post-hardcore band out of Los Angeles has released four LP and one EP with their latest effort titled If I'm The Devil was released on June 10th of this year.
Jim Breuer's Loud & Rowdy: The well known metal impressionist and comedian is bringing his musical talents to Rock Allegiance. His band released an album this year entitled Songs From The Garage.
Sick Puppies: This Australian-formed trio is rocking hard with their latest album Fury with their new lead singer Bryan Scott. Their lead single, "Stick To Your Guns" peaked at number 13 in the Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts.
Max & Igor Cavalera Return to Roots: The two Brazilian brothers will be performing Sepultura's classic 1996 album Roots in it's bloody entirety. Performing classics such as Roots "Bloody Roots", "Attitude", and "Ratamahatta".
Avatar: The Swedish band is back and bigger than ever with their latest album Feathers and Flesh. With the radio hit "The Eagle Has Landed", this band looks like the next metal sensation from Sweden.
Buckcherry: Led by lead singer Josh Todd, Buckcherry is back performing all their hits including "Crazy B*tch", "Lit Up", and "Sorry". They released an album in August of Last Year called Rock 'n' Roll.
Trivium: The Orlando-based quartet released their most recent album Silence in the Snow late last year. With songs like "Until the World Goes Cold" and "Dead and Gone", this band seems to be one of the lasting metal bands in the ever growing U.S. metal scene over the last decade.
Chevy Metal: Taylor Hawkins cover threesome performs some of Rock's greatest hits from artists such as The Who, The Rolling Stones, and more.
Baroness: The now Philadelphia-based band which formed in Savannah, Georgia is back with their most recent album Purple released in December of 2015 which peaked at 70 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Indie Chart. The song "Shock Me" got play from stations such as Sirius XM's Octane among other as well as "Take My Bones Away from 2012's Yellow and Green.
Motionless in White: Scranton's Motionless in White has recently signed to Roadrunner Records and will be releasing their yet to be named fourth album which contains the single "570". Their third effort Reincarnate was released in 2014 with songs such as "Unstoppable" and "Break The Cycle" got radio airplay.
The Cult: With hits from the mid to late 80s such as "Fire Woman", "Love Removal Machine" and "She Sells Sanctuary" the British quintet lead by Ian Astbury are back with their 10th studio album Hidden City their first album in four years.
The Offspring: The So-Cal-based punk quartet has produced many hits over the 1990s and the 2000s. With classic albums such as Smash, Americana, Days Go By, and Rise And Fall, Rage and Grace the band has produced such hits as "Pretty Fly For A White Guy", "Gone Away", "The Kids Aren't Alright" and more.
Breaking Benjamin: Wilkes-Barre's Breaking Benjamin became one of the sentimental rock bands of the 2000s before taking a 5 year hiatus and coming back with Dark Before Dawn which their first album to hit number 1 on the Billboard 200. Nothing takes away what they did in the 2000s with songs like "Polyamorus", "So Cold" and "Diary of Jane".
Alice In Chains: Your headliners of the 2016 Rock Allegiance Saturday Edition as the Seattle grunge stalwarts have continued to roll on after their 2009 comeback. With songs such as "Rooster", "Man in the Box" and "Would?" from the 90s and "Check My Brain", "Hollow", and "Stone" from their current frontman William Duvall. One of the most influential hard rock bands of the last 25 years.
